PJ Webb Haulage has added four new Renault trucks to its fleet for use with its aggregates business – a T480 6x2 pusher tractor unit, two C460 8x4 tippers and a C430 8x4 with a McPhee mixer.

The T480 is fitted with an Optidriver AT 2612F gearbox with automatic clutch, four-point cab air suspension with ride-height control system, heated seat, a 24-litre quiet refrigerator, comfort air conditioning, Alcoa Dura-Bright aluminium wheels and a camera and radar system.

The tippers feature PPG Smoothline insulated bodies, a FORS camera system and side scan, beacon bar, and front and rear strobes.

The C430 includes an 8m transit mixer with electric controls, an Optidriver automated gearbox, Renault’s Optifleet Check fleet management system, a camera system, strobes, radar and Alcoa wheels.

The company’s fleet of 27 is comprised solely of Renault vehicles and the latest models were supplied by Renault Truck Commercials Cardiff.

“We’ve not looked back since we bought our first Renault truck in 2012. Aggregates is a tough business and Renault Trucks construction vehicles are known for their ruggedness and durability,” said MD Phillip Webb.

“There is also plenty of room in the cabs, they are comfortable, the equipment is great and, notably, we’ve not had one complaint from the drivers! All this, combined with the fantastic service, means we really can’t ask for anymore.”
