Asset Alliance Group has secured a £4m agreement to supply bathroom and kitchen specialist PJH with 63 new commercial vehicles.
PJH procured the Euro-6 vehicles, including artics and light commercials, as part of a strategy to update all aspects of its operation including its fleet, warehousing, offices and equipment. A total of 34 of the trucks will be based at its distribution centre in Cannock, Staffordshire, while the other 29 will operate from its warehouse in Walkden, Manchester.
The vehicles, which replace an existing fleet approaching six years old, feature improved in-cab technology and can carry heavier and larger capacity loads. Head of operations (Cannock) at PJH, John Nobrega, who carried out a three-way tender for the business, said the trucks are expected to significantly reduce fuel consumption, management time and fleet downtime for the company.
“We were bowled over by the quality of service and expertise among the staff at Asset Alliance”, he added. "They were very supportive throughout the process and are extremely flexible when it comes to sourcing vehicles, contracts and service agents.
“They’re also competitively priced, support growth, have a fantastic reputation in the industry and as an added bonus, are located close to our Cannock site. I’m delighted we’ve enlisted Asset Alliance to reinvigorate our fleet and help us improve and develop our offer.”
