Potter Group Logistics has won a five-year deal with chemicals company Johnson Matthey to provide storage and distribution space at its Ripon, North Yorks, distribution centre.
The road and rail specialist, which changed its name from Potter Group in August, is investing around £2m in the project and the new facility, which Johnson Matthey will take possession of at the start of 2012, has its own dedicated entrance and access separate from other buildings on site.
Potter Group Logistics will use its fleet of MANs to collect materials from the client’s catalyst manufacturing plant at Clitheroe for delivery to the 50,000ft² Ripon facility.
Potter Group Logistics currently stores around 2,500 pallets of raw material for the Johnson Matthey manufacturing plant at Knowsley, Merseyside.
