Profits up at Knights of Old

Northamptonshire-based haulier Knights of Old has reported broadly static profit in its latest set of accounts. The former MT Haulier of the Year reported a pre-tax profit of £751,000 for the year ending 31 May 2007, compared with £715,000 the year before. It was also a 3% improvement on its results two years ago when profit was £729,000.

The company, which has 100,000ft2 of warehousing space at its Kettering base and is part of the wine and spirits distributor network Cert Group, also reported increases in gross and operating profit during the period: £2.4m and £770,000 respectively.
