Herefordshire-based Radbournes has increased its Iveco fleet with the arrival of an 8x4 Stralis X-Way tipper and a Eurocargo 4x2 tipper.

The aggregate, concrete, and landscaping products suppliers is celebrating its 40th anniversary and has been increasing the number of Ivecos on the fleet.

Three Iveco Stralis X-Way tippers have been bought from Glenside Commercials with two brand new units and one ex-demonstrator being used to transport a range of stone and aggregates across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Powys, and Worcestershire with each truck covering around 130,000km a year. A fourth tipper is also on order.

“The X-WAYs carry out the work where we need to maximise payload and where ground clearance and traction are important, typically when we are delivering to construction sites. They also cover a lot of road miles, so they must be very versatile in several different areas,” explained Radbournes MD Chris Radbourne.

Also joining the fleet is a Iveco Eurocargo ML180E25K tipper fitted with a Bulkrite. Plated at 18-tonnes the Eurocargo has a payload of 10,500kg and will be used for loose tip deliveries to trade and DIY customers.

Mark Lovering, MD of Glenside Commercials said: “We are delighted to see Radbournes increase Iveco’s share of its total fleet of trucks. Its delivery service is a key part of why the business is so highly regarded by thousands of trade and DIY professionals. We look forward to delivering another new Stralis X-WAY 8x4 later in 2021.”
