Bangor-based ML Hughes Plant Hire has been impressed by the performance of two refurbished Scania tipper grabs bought from MV Commercial, praising the commendable aftersales service provided by the company.
ML Hughes specialises in supplying diggers, excavators, dumpers, and other plant equipment, has expanded its fleet with the new additions which now includes three grab trucks and 60 plant hire machines.
The newly acquired Scanias, refurbished to appear brand new at MV Commercial's repair and paint facility in Airdrie, will be used on ML Hughes Plant Hire's civil construction engineering operations as well as contract work.
ML Hughes Plant Hire director Kenny Hughes said: “MV has done an excellent job and the vehicles look immaculate.
“After taking delivery of one Scania, we wanted to get a second to match. MV was able to quickly deliver another great-looking tipper grab, ensuring that we can continue to meet the growing needs of our customers. We didn’t want to buy new from any company due to the longer wait times. Sourcing these refurbed trucks from MV Commercial was the perfect solution.”
Although Hughes, started the business just three years ago, this marks the first occasion they have worked with MV Commercial. Expressing optimism about the trucks' reliability and its potential to minimize downtime, Hughes believes that this acquisition will facilitate the growth of his business. With a service area encompassing north Wales and north west England, ML Hughes Plant Hire aims to continue offering operated tipper grab services while meeting the demands of the region's civil construction industry.
MV Commercial Managing Director, Steven Cairns, said: “We are seeing massive demand for our refurbished trucks, with a large on-site stock available from all major manufacturers. They can all be adapted to meet a wide range of customers’ requirements.”
