Enfield Council has placed an order for four fully electric Renault E-Tech D26T Low Entry Cab refuse trucks.

The battery-powered 26-tonners, which are due to go into operation later this year, will all be equipped with CP Davidson Titan refuse bodies.

Julian Minta head of fleet & transport operations at Enfield Council said: “We have been working in partnership with Renault Trucks UK for a number of months and trialled two of their demonstrators. We are extremely happy with how they have performed in our operation. Due to the high level of regeneration efficiency they have been coming back from our longer routes with over 30% charge remaining, far surpassing our initial expectations.”
