London-based contractor W M Walsh Surfacing has put up a £5,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of three vehicles stolen from its yard last month.
The company, which carries out work including resurfacing for utility companies, had a Hino 700 series and two Daf CF85s fitted with Epsilon cranes, stolen on 18 September from its site at Raynes Park, south-west London.
The thieves had cutting gear to get through the company’s gates and are believed to have used a white Ford Transit Connect. A dark people carrier, either a Chrysler or a Kia, was used in the crime too.
However, this is not the first theft to hit the company nor the first time the Hino has been stolen. W M Walsh Surfacing suffered a break-in and theft of two vehicles last Christmas. One of the vehicles stolen at this time was the Hino, which was found in the spring wearing different registration plates in an out-building on a Warwickshire farm.
“As you can understand we are very upset about this,” said company MD Wayne Walsh.
Walsh can be contacted at wayne.walsh@wmwalshsurfacing.co.uk and any information will be passed onto the Metropolitan Police who are investigating the theft.
The full details of the stolen vehicles are:
Hino 700 series 410, year 2011. Reg. number CA11 WMW. Eight-wheel grab loader, black Thompson painted body, white cab with an Epsilon M125 crane and a 600 litre clam-shell bucket.
Two identical Daf CF85 410, year 2012. Reg. number RK12 YBS and RK12 YBT. Eight-wheel grab loaders, black Thompson painted bodies, white cabs and Epsilon M125 cranes with 600 litre clam-shell buckets.
