Following the acquisition of Renault Truck Commercials Coventry, RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) has appointed two new leaders in its aftersales management team. As of 1st January 2025, James Daykin (right) will take on the role of aftersales director and Edward Baxter (left) will hold the position of aftersales general manager.
Daykin first joined RHCV in 2006 as a parts apprentice at the group’s Nottingham site. A promotion in 2009 saw him become a parts supervisor, a role which involved supporting different arms of the business including RH Freight, Rennie Hogg Transport and RH Rental fleets.
In 2015 Daykin was appointed dealer point manager at RHCV’s Leicester depot. During his three years managing the site, Daykin led a substantial period of growth with labour hours sold increased by 50% and turnover more than doubled.
Expanding the scope of his role, Daykin became the group parts manager in 2018, looking after four locations in the region. Following this, he moved to his current role as group aftersales manager.
Baxter began at RHCV in 2012 focusing on improving the group’s LCV sales offering. Four years later he transitioned to the aftersales department at the Nottingham dealership, working as the service supervisor. In 2019, Baxter took over as dealer point manager for Leicester, later moving to Newark to grow the business in the area.
Managing director, Nigel Baxter, said: “These appointments are both well-deserved and is also a reflection of the growth we have generated since the reacquisition of the business from Kuehne and Nagel in early 2012.
“As we continue to expand across the Midlands it is important to build a robust management team, able to develop and support both existing and new customers and continue to build our relationship with Renault Trucks and Isuzu Truck.”
RHCV has eight locations across the Midlands including Alfreton, its head office and depot in Nottingham, Leicester, Northampton, Newark, Peterborough, and Coventry.
