Europa Worldwide Group has added 10 new Renault T Evolution tractors to its UK operation.
Supplied by RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV), the latest additions to the 50-strong all-Renault fleet, are all 440hp 6x2s.
Reflecting a change in Europa’s operation, which sees its drivers doing additional tramping, the new trucks have been spec’d accordingly, with more creature comforts than usual. Dan Cook, operations director for Europa Road, explains that these include fridges, microwaves, and inverters, allowing them to plug in other electrical items from home without overloading the cab’s infrastructure. “Now more than ever, it is necessary to ensure the most appropriate equipment to reflect comfort and facilities for drivers is provided,” he said.
Paul Pearson, commercial director at RHCV, added: “We have a long-standing relationship with Europa and are once again delighted to have assisted them with their fleet requirements. We know that comfort, safety, and design quality continue to be major factors for the firm in making their truck choices.”
The new trucks will be joined by 14 Renault D 18-tonners next month, and an additional 11 T’s in September.
