R Jameson Event Transport adds two new Volvo FH 500s

R Jameson Event Transport has taken delivery of two new Volvo FH 500 Globetrotter XL 4x2 tractor units.

The new units are the first Volvos for the Marlow-based firm who turned to Volvo Truck and Bus Centre South & East to bring its total fleet size to 19 trucks.

Owner, Richard Jameson, said: “We have experience working with multiple brands, but we have found Volvo’s overall attitude to customer service is second to none. From our very first conversations it was instantly clear everyone understood exactly what challenges we faced and how Volvo could solve them simply and effectively.

R Jameson Event Transport provides transport to entertainment and corporate industries and expects the new vehicles to  cover 75,000km per year.

“The product quality on offer is remarkable, especially in the cab, while the technology now available in the Volvo FH is superb. It all makes for a super enjoyable driving experience that really stands out from the competition,” added Jameson.

Along with 500hp engines, the trucks have been specified with Globetrotter XL cabs and the Drive+ package. They also have I-Park Cool for added driver comfort on nights out and have the Visibility+ package which includes electric heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and LED headlamps.

“Our drivers put in quite the stint, so it is only right that they are given the most comfortable working environment possible,” Jameson said.

“We’re also acutely aware that our fleet is our image – opting for such a luxurious spec and premium vehicle brand is our way of advertising that we are serious about our work,” he added.
