Basingstoke-based Rogers Transport has placed an order for its third Iveco S-WAY 570 6x2 tractor from Hendy Truck & Van, following a positive experience with its first example.

“We put one on the road in January, and it hasn’t given us any trouble,” said MD Simon Rogers, who is photographed here with transport manager wife Emma and children Luke and Summer. “The driver really likes it, and we had no hesitation ordering more.”

Rogers Transport, which operates an 18-strong fleet, has been running Ivecos since the days of the EuroTech, and has a good relationship with local dealer Hendy Truck & Van. “They can’t do enough to help us,” explained Emma, who gives the example of service manager Dan Pledger who was contactable on new year’s day when they needed to get hold of him. “Of all the dealers we have dealt with, they have been the most helpful,” she said.

Roger Transport’s second S-WAY, which was ordered in February is about to go on the road, while the latest purchase is due for delivery in February 2022.
