Workshop equipment specialist MAHA will be talking to visitors at this summer’s Road Transport Expo (RTX) about the largest member of its MA STAR two-post lifting range – the 6.5 model.
Complementing the two-post lift series, which already boasts equipment capable of lifting three-and-a-half and five-and-a-half tonnes respectively, their ‘big brother’ can handle vehicles with a gross weight of six-and-a-half tonnes.
The manufacturer said the MA STAR 6.5 offers five-star safety thanks to its triple layer of protection: spindle nut package with self-locking thread, patent-pending ‘giraffe’ nut breakage detection and motor brake. A plug-and-play function, as well as an intuitive LED interface are also featured.
Customers can choose from several add-ons, including LED lighting or wheel engaging supports for special and electric vehicles. The latter allows unrestricted access to the underside of the vehicle and, as a result, gives the user the option to remove and install vehicle batteries.
What’s more, there is the choice between the MA STAR 6.5 Stock variant, which is available at short notice, or the Comfort that is produced bespoke at the customer’s request and provides the option to accessorise their model with the likes of a patented support arm assist with roller spring bearing, ensuring a smooth extension of the support arms.
The new MA STAR 6.5 can be found on MAHA UK’s new, group-wide website that enables users from different countries to connect with their local operation. It also features an interactive map that shows the location of dynamometers.
MAHA UK managing director Neil Ebbs said he was thrilled with the end result of the new website: “There are some excellent new features; personally, I particularly like the local news feature, so our customers can stay up-to-date with what we’re doing, while the opportunity to create and post testimonials will become vital over the coming months, as we up the ante with customer visits.”
