VL Test Systems (VLT) will be heading to the brand-new Road Transport Expo (RTX) this summer with its latest generation of innovative workshop testing equipment.

The company designs, develops and manufactures its own roller brake testers at a purpose-built Netherlands facility.

It also provides a variety of additional equipment including headlight beam testers, diesel smoke meters, wireless wheel play detectors, axle load simulators, pit jacks and all other equipment and tools required for authorised testing facilities (ATFs).

In addition, the firm can handle ATF planning and installation, including assistance with DVSA approvals and sign-off.

An exciting new product for visitors at RTX to explore will be a wireless, DVSA-approved tachograph calibration add-on for its roller brake testers.

“The unit is easy to use and utilises a laser detector to deliver precise measurements with maximum accuracy,” said a company spokesman.

“The tacho add-on works with all types of tachograph, and calibration of a vehicle takes less than two minutes.

“With both brake testing and tachograph calibration in a single bay, you get more space in the workshop, and with no cables from the tester to the console, it improves workshop health and safety.”

In addition, stand visitors will be able to check out VL Test Systems’ latest 6th generation brake testers along with headlight beam testers and wheel play detectors and many more ATF products.
