Mercedes-Benz dealer group Rygor Commercials has completed the £1m refurbishment of its Oxford branch.

The works include an extension and complete recladding of the building on Eynsham Road, Cassington, and a dedicated vehicle handover area with canopy alongside the main entrance. Also, the reception, after sales care departments, sales area and offices have been given a complete makeover.

The 11-bay workshop includes new brake testing equipment, and roller shutter doors, with a dedicated bay set aside for tachograph calibrations and repairs, and another for MoT testing. The workshop is open until 10pm on weekdays, and lunchtimes on Saturdays and the branch is also the base for two Mercedes-Benz Service 24h vans, which provide rapid response emergency breakdown assistance.

Service Manager Richard Flanagan said: “If you didn’t know otherwise you’d think we were in a completely new building. The branch has been completely transformed and, as a result, it’s a real pleasure to come to work here each day.

“Although it can be difficult to work when construction projects are ongoing, the team really pulled together and persevered because they believed it would be worth it in the end.”
