Rygor Nuneaton repair centre gets major upgrade

Rygor Commercials has upgraded its premises at Nuneaton with new parking, testing equipment and more staff to enable longer operating hours for the workshop.

The Mercedes-Benz and Fuso dealer site was given Authorised Repairer status by the manufacturer in 2015 but has invested £300,000 to keep up with the demands on the workshop and the manufacturer’s required standards. A new 20m drive-through inspection pit brings the total number of truck bays in the workshop to six with six other spaces for vans. Rygor has also added a new set of brake test rollers along with headlamp alignment equipment and four new van ramps.

The purchase of a plot of land behind the site has added eight truck parking spaces with room for tractor unit and trailer and created a new rear entrance. The whole plot has been resurfaced to give more space for manoeuvring than the area at the front of the building which was previously used. The parking has also meant that a new back door has been created directly into the workshop.

Finally, four new technicians have been recruited, bringing the total number working at Nuneaton to 11 which has allowed them to reintroduce a two-shift system since the beginning of March. The site will now run from 6am to 10pm with a half day on Saturday.
