Sally Traffic hosts one woman Transaid show

Sally Boazman, BBC Radio 2's much loved Sally Traffic, is hosting a one-woman show to raise money for Transaid on Saturday 6 March 2010 at north London's ArtsDepot.

The show will draw upon Sally's life before and during her time at the BBC, sharing tales of famous people she's met, and also revealing some off-air secrets.

Proceeds from the evening will help Transaid to continue its vital driver training in Zambia and other parts of Africa.

Ex-trailer boss found guilty of fraud

Alan Wilson, the former director and major shareholder of Blue Cube Rentals, has been sentenced to 44 months imprisonment at Stafford Crown Court this week after pleading guilty to fraud. Wilson ran Blue Cube Rentals, which designed and rented portable refrigerated units and trailers from its HQ in Staffordshire Technology Park. The firm went into administration in March.

DHL jobs safe following Maritime takeover

More than 250 drivers' jobs have been declared safe after Felixstowe-based Maritime Group bought out the loss-making DHL Container Logistics. Although some redundancies among administration and support staff were announced immediately, and further cuts seem inevitable, Maritime Group managing director and sole shareholder John Williams says terms and conditions of the drivers' jobs will be maintained.
