Infrastructure services specialist Eurovia has taken delivery of four new Mercedes-Benz vehicles from S&B Commercials.

Eurovia’s order includes two 18-tonne 4x2 Econics to use for painting white lines on roads, as well as a 44-tonne Actros 2548 6x2 StreamSpace tractor unit that transports asphalt pavers, backhoe loaders and compactors, to and from sites on a low-loader trailer.

The 26-tonne 6x4 Antos 2635, which has a ClassicSpace M-cab and 354bhp engine driving through PowerShift automated transmission, hauls the mastic used to seal joints between concrete sections on roads and bridges and also tows a trailer-mounted road planer.

Eurovia's Econic and Antos vehicles feature bodies by Mackworth Vehicle Conversion Specialists.

Chris Dixon, Eurovia’s transport and plant operations manager said: “Our Econics are now being operated by two- and three-man crews who also appreciate their comfortable and roomy, air-conditioned cabs, and the fact that they can move around with such ease.”
