Scania executive role for Colbourne

James Colbourne has been appointed regional executive director, Scotland, for Scania (Great Britain).

Colbourne, 45, who has more than 12 years’ experience in the automotive industry, joined the manufacturer in 2016 as regional sales director for Scania Scotland, based in Bellshill.

He previously worked for Mercedes-Benz UK’s commercial vehicles operation, where he held a mix of sales and aftersales positions.

Before that he worked for SsangYong, Vauxhall Leasing and MG-Rover Group in sales, business management and network development roles.

Scania (Great Britain) MD Claes Jacobsson said: “Scania has always been a strong player in Scotland.

“In his new role James is now at the helm of a consistently high performing team.”
