The most searched for truck models on Commercialmotor.com to date remain the Scania R-Series and the Daf XF105 as 2012 draws to a close.

Since our Used Trucks marketplace debuted last year, we have advertised more than 80,500 used trucks and trailers for sale.

Of these, the single most viewed listing is a 56-reg Scania R480 Topline tractor unit from Smith Brothers Services (pictured), which attracted more than a thousand views over a two-month period.

Second place goes to a 2009 58-plate Scania R500 from Moody International, while third is a 56-reg Daf XF105 Super Space tractor unit offered by MJ Slater Haulage.

Fourth place is held by a Volvo FH500 from Hanbury Riverside, while fifth is the preserve of this Daf CF75.

The most popular search terms on Used Trucks are currently:

  1. Scania
  2. tipper
  3. crane

The most searched-for manufacturer is Scania, followed by Volvo and Daf. Daf also currently holds the honour of being the manufacturer with the most listings on the site, with almost 900 of its trucks available at time of writing.

  •  Commercialmotor.com Used Trucks launched in November 2011 and now attracts more than 23,000 potential buyers each month. See our Buyers' Guides on buying from auction and buying a Euro-5 truck.
