Schmitz Cargobull will be showcasing products from across its extensive range at Road Transport Expo (RTX) 2024 – including its all-electric box body semi-trailer the S.KOe COOL and its new S.KO URBAN.
Officially launched in the UK & Ireland earlier this year, the S.KOe COOL is equipped with the fully electric S.CU ep85 cooling unit with integrated power electronics, a battery system and an electric generator axle, enabling 100% emission-free operation.
The electrified semi-trailer is also extremely quiet, ideal for early-morning and late-evening deliveries.
It is joined on Stand Y6 by the S.KO URBAN – a 10.5m-long refrigerated box trailer that has been developed specifically for the UK and Ireland.
Adapted from Schmitz Cargobull’s S.KO CITY – which is widely used across central Europe – the S.KO URBAN features a new chassis design and repositioned internal evaporator, allowing the temperature-controlled trailer to accommodate 20 UK pallets.
The manufacturer said it is particularly suited to use in the supermarket and convenience sectors, where deliveries need to be made in busy towns and cities.
Alongside the S.KOe COOL and S.KO URBAN displayed in the yellow zone at the show will be Schmitz Cargobull’s UK-built pillarless curtainsider, the S.CS FREEPOST.
Colin Maher, MD at Schmitz Cargobull UK & Ireland, said: “The S.KOe COOL is the perfect choice for businesses who are leading the charge towards a greener transport sector.
“With the S.KO URBAN and S.CS FREEPOST joining it on our stand at RTX, we’re showcasing both our commitment to innovation and our ability to deliver bespoke products to customers in the UK and Ireland.”
Schmitz Cagobull will also be offering RTX visitors the chance to view its TrailerConnect® telematics portal in action.
The portal provides a single point of access and live fleet overview, allowing customers to visualise their network, including subcontractors, and control data access via the Data Management Centre.
Additional TrailerConnect® capabilities include geo-fencing alerts; tyre pressure and wear monitoring; comprehensive temperature monitoring; and meeting TAPA-certified enhanced security requirements for the transportation of high-value pharmaceutical goods.
In an expanded presence at this year’s RTX event, the manufacturer will also have its S.BO ECO PACE semi-trailer placed at the entrance of the show.
Schmitz Cargobull’s S.KI tipper and S.CS FIXED ROOF trailers will be participating in the Ride and Drive section, too.
Road Transport Expo takes place from 4-6 June at NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. It is completely free to attend for visitors, so why not book your place today?!
