Freshlinc has taken delivery of 60 Schmitz Cargobull multi-temperature refrigerated trailers with Carrier Transicold refrigeration units.
The trailers feature one-piece aluminium floors as well as Ferroplast insulation, which according to the manufacturer offers greater insulation from thinner panels than a conventional build.
They also include internal moving bulkheads fitted with expanding seals controlled from central operating handles. These are designed to make it easier for operators to reposition the bulkheads when required, while providing insulation between compartments.
There are also Carrier Transicold Vector 1950 MT units, featuring E-Drive all-electric technology. The agreement includes a Carrier Transicold full-service R&M package, with annual temperature control testing and certification, full regulatory checks, and access to the company’s 24/7 incident management service.
Andy Marchant, fleet engineer, Freshlinc, said: “Our operations are very intense, so we need our trailers to be tough, but also cost-effective to operate - which is precisely why we use Schmitz Cargobull.
“Plus, the performance of the Carrier Transicold refrigeration units is simply first class.”
