Bristol-based Scrivin Logistics has taken delivery of two new Krone Profi Liner trailers and has already placed an order for additional Krone units. The new curtainsiders are equipped with Krone’s multi lock side rave which is part of the multi safe load securing system.

Simon Scrivin, founder and director of Scrivin Logistics, said: “We needed additional trailers to support our expansion and Krone was the ideal choice. We move a lot of high value and sensitive goods, primarily in and out of mainland Europe, so we needed versatile trailers that keep the loads secure. With Multi Lock we are not limited in how we can strap down the loads which is important to us as they can vary significantly in size and shape.”

Multi lock offers up to 126 strapping points on either side of the trailer, creating more than 3000 load securing options. Each strapping point has a 2-tonne capacity to give a maximum permissible load of 8-tonne over 1m. Additional options such as screwable pallet stops, lashing rings, or a chain adaptor can be integrated with the multi lock system.

Scrivin’s Profi Liners have sliding roofs, tail lifts, twin tool boxes and plank storage. Inside, the trailers are lined with a 30mm thick waterproofed phenolic coated plywood floor.

Scrivin said: “These are the first Krone trailers we have had, and we are very impressed. They are a better build quality than the trailers we have had from another manufacturer. Krone trailers are more of a European spec build which is exactly what we need.

“I have already placed an additional order for a box trailer and have another liner with a tail lift on order for later this year. I have also purchased a second-hand Krone trailer for the fleet. It’s a 2018 model and we’ve had no issues with it at all - they are very robust.”
