Who are you, and where can I find you?
We trade as Secondhandtrucks and our parent company is Maritime Transport, which forms part of the Maritime Group. We are a national company with a network of depots and our used sales centre can be found in Tilbury, Essex. Our postcode is RM18 7NL and we are 10 minutes from the M25.
What is the history of the company?
Secondhandtrucks was set up in 2005 with the sole purpose of selling all ex-Maritime Transport vehicles. General manager Matt Heath has been at the helm from the start and has a friendly, dedicated team ready to meet every buyer's requirements.
What do you sell?
Being part of one of the largest independently owned transport companies in the UK means we have a continuous supply of premium used trucks for sale. Volvo, Daf, Scania and Mercedes-Benz all feature in our fleet and these can be purchased from two to four years old. All are 6x2 or 4x2 tractor units and feature the highest levels of specification including fridges, microwaves, forward-facing cameras and coffee makers.
When are you open?
We’re open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6.00pm, as well as Saturday and Sunday by appointment. For our oversees buyers we also offer an airport collection and drop-off service. Being located close to London we’re ideally located for all the major airports.
What facilities do you have?
We can offer PTO fitment, larger/additional fuel tanks, light bars, alloy wheels, livery fitment, colour changes and TV/sat-nav fitment. There’s nothing we can’t arrange for you, making sure your truck is ready to go to work from the day you collect it.
What can I expect when I buy a truck from you?
Every truck is main dealer maintained from new and comes with a fully documented main dealer service history. We also supply as standard a 12-months' Mot and 12-month warranty. Finance can also be arranged through our finance partners. We’re also happy to offer you a part-exchange service.
