A family-run haulage business has offered a £2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of thieves who stole two trailers, tyres and other equipment in two incidents within two days.

Thieves broke into SJS Cannock's depot at Advance Business Park in Heath Hayes near Cannock, Staffs. In the second attack, during the night of 12/13 August, they cut through steel gates and rammed a wall at the back of the site.

Their haul included two Ifor Williams trailers, 14 truck tyres, a £2,000 Karcher power washer and three chests filled with LGV tools worth £26,000. Also stolen were oxyacetylene cutting equipment, power tools, trolley jacks and a small trailer bearing registration plate S77 ELY .

Transport manager Vincent Shelley says: "We have now installed CCTV and intruder alarms linked to the police." Police have linked the burglaries with the theft of an Ifor Williams trailer from a nearby farm.
