Trailer rental and contract hire company Trailer Resources has teamed up with curtain manufacturer Roland International to celebrate national hero Captain Tom Moore’s 100th birthday.
The special livery commemorating Captain Tom’s two landmark achievements, reaching 100 years of age and raising well over £25m for NHS charities, was the brainchild of Trailer Resources’ Sales Director Ryan Jones, who lives in the same village as Captain Tom.
Jones said: “I think what Tom has achieved for the NHS charities is nothing short of miraculous, and decided it would be appropriate for the transport and logistics industry to celebrate his achievement by displaying this ‘larger than life’ birthday card across the UK’s road network over the coming weeks. Captain Tom’s achievement is definitely the stand-out one of so many heart-warming stories that have helped to sustain us all during these traumatic times. Perhaps the NHS should be renamed the National Heroes Service in their honour!”
Public house The Bell, which is within viewing distance of Captain Tom Moore’s home, has allowed the use of its public parking area so the gesture can be seen by Tom himself.
All proceeds from the rental of this trailer will be donated to an NHS charity, and the mobile message will hopefully bring a smile to many thousands of faces as it travels the length and breadth of the UK.
