Laurie Dealer can reveal that Steadplan, the Clitheroe-based MAN service provider, has opened another workshop, this time in Rochdale.

It is on the site of the old Leach Distribution site, which was sold to German logistic company Dascher back in April.

The site has five bays, and is eight miles from the MoT testing station at Chadderton. Rochdale represented a gap in the market for MAN and the new workshop will be ideal for hauliers based in the east and north of Manchester, Oldham, and east towards Halifax and Huddersfield.

Steadplan will employ eight on site, with five technicians working six days a week and two service breakdown vans, with the fastest-moving parts available on site and parts back up from head office in Clitheroe.

There will be more information in MT and CM in the coming weeks.

Jobs a good un.
