Sterling exhibited their British-made truck mixer with its 8 cu m capacity at Road Transport Expo.
Well known for their plant body vehicles, Sterling introduced the mixer to their line-up in 2020, revising the design in 2021 to give it the fastest discharge rate in the market.
“One of the main selling points of the Sterling truck mixer is the availability of parts and the back-up of being a British company. Most of your wearing parts can be with you the next day, and if your mixer breaks down in most concentrated areas of the UK we can be out to the majority of breakdowns in an hour. We’ve built a quality product, and designed in strength into the mixer while still allowing it to achieve an 8 cubic metre capacity,” explained Sterling sales executive Grant Owen.
The drum design includes a capping design on each of the blades allowing raw materials to be mixed as well as being agitated. Despite being a relatively new addition to the range, Sterling has already put more than 50 units into work in the aggregate industry.
