Steward Transport has taken delivery of a new Volvo FH to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary.

The specially liveried gold FH 540 was supplied by MC Truck & Bus in Maidstone and was part of a nine-vehicle order.

As well as the flagship golden FH, five FH 500 6x2 drawbars with brick-carrying bodies and rear-mounted cranes were also purchased. In addition, three 420hp Volvo FM 8-wheelers with I-Shift transmissions, full
air suspension and specified with additional lower door windows for improved visibility were purchased.

Steward Transport director John Steward said: “Volvo manufactures the best trucks in the market in our opinion and they have now become our single source vehicle. The relationship we have built with Volvo dealer MC Truck & Bus is first class. The sales staff are knowledgeable and helpful at all times, while we enjoy an excellent aftersales service that includes a daily parts delivery.”

Steward Transport runs an all-Volvo fleet with 45 units consisting of tractors, drawbars and 8-wheelers.
