Tail-lift and shutter service company Stone Hardy has brought in Euroway to offer the back up and support to its fleet of vehicles.

That makes Euroway the company that services the vans for the company that fixes tail-lifts and shutters – the man behind the man, so to speak. Stone Hardy signed a three-year fixed price FleetSure fleet maintenance contract to cover 65 Mercedes Sprinter 3.5-tonne vehicles, which are all fully equipped as mobile repair workshops.

Paul Clark, MD at Stone Hardy, says: “This newly signed arrangement with Euroway is a positive move forward for our operation. It enables our management team to focus its priorities on customer service, without having to worry about the maintenance and compliance of the company’s service van fleet.”

The two companies have history. Stone Hardy supply tail-lift servicing and repair to Euroway for its contract hire fleet. Paul Clark adds: “The decision to switch our own fleet maintenance programme to Euroway, on a sole supplier basis, reflects the strong working partnership between the two companies.

“We both have a good understanding of each other's businesses and for us, Euroway's proven levels of service support nationwide for commercial vehicle maintenance was the deciding factor in switching to this fixed price FleetSure contract in January.”

Euroway’s sales and marketing director Mark Howell says the development of its own successful FleetSure programme is an ideal fit for their national breakdown service as we can provide them with the levels of fleet uptime and vehicle availability needed to support their future business plans. In addition, the proven systems and procedures within FleetSure will ensure full compliance of their fleet at all times.”

Footnote: Commercial Motor will be running a Buyers’ Guide to Repair and Maintenance Contracts in a forthcoming issue, featuring need to know information from manufacturers and independents like Euroway’s Fleetsure.
