A former subcontractor for collapsed Felixstowe container haulier Syntex Logistics has spoken of his anger at the company's failure.
Syntex and sister firm LM Logistics went into administration on 23 February, with Lee De'Ath, Kevin Murphy and Ken Touhey from Chantrey Vellacott appointed as joint administrators.
However, one subcontractor, who asked to remain anonymous, says the administration may mean he loses his house on the back of an £18,000 debt owed from Syntex.
He says that payments first started to be missed at the end of December, but the situation had apparently resolved itself until last month.
He explains: "I had two trucks on for them, but when I found I had not been paid, I told them I was going to take one vehicle off. They begged and pleaded with me not to and so I didn't.
"I'm a small haulier who's got through the recession without racking up massive debts and then they do this."
No-one from Syntex was available to comment.
