TAL Logistics Group has ceased trading after being placed into administration on 12 April.
The Newcastle office of corporate insolvency specialist Grant Thornton is handling the administration.
A member of staff manning the phones tells Roadtransport.com that the Sheffield-based company went into administration on the evening of 12 April and that all staff have been made redundant.
The company began life in 1999 when director Neil Taylor founded TAL Eurospecial. Taylor, along with fellow director Richard Shaw, runs the Group, which consists of:
- TAL Galaxy
- TAL Freeway
- TAL Eurospecial
- Gallacher Bros (Haulage)
- TAL Seahouses (formerly Phillips (Seahouses))
The most recent set of company accounts for TAL Logistics Group, for the year ended 31 March 2009, states that the directors "consider it appropriate for the financial statements to be prepared on the going concern basis".

Neither Taylor nor Shaw were available to comment.
