MAN has supplied a 4x2 TGL12.180 with bespoke body by Priden Engineering, to Wisbech-based Tamar Nurseries.

The day cab vehicle has a 6-speed TipMatic gearbox, cantilever tail-lift, four-camera safety system as well as near-side warning system. Tamar Nurseries already runs a day cab TGM 26.290BL that it took on a seven-year contract through MAN Financial Services in 2015.

The firm does a lot of work with local authorities and on large landscaping projects. Mary Williams of Tamar Nurseries, said: “Two years ago we decided to lease the MAN TGM 26-tonne truck and we have been very happy with it. We have never had a moment’s bother and because it is on a seven-year contract we know exactly where we stand with payments and outgoings.

“Our six-weekly maintenance checks are all booked in at the start of the year through our dealer Imperial Commercials so we can plan accordingly and the whole system works very well. We now have two trucks in our fleet and they are both MANs.”
