The Harrogate Convention Centre will be bulging with tanker operators as Tip-ex and Tank-ex rolls into town between 31 May and 2 June.

Feldbinder (stands MC30/ML2/ML3/ML32/ML32a) will host its exhibition stand in the gardens of the Majestic Hotel. It will exhibit a full range of its tankers during the show, including non-tipping silo tankers from 36m3 through to 70m3 versions, tipping silo tankers and stainless steel liquid tank semi trailers. Its customer Bibby is pictured above.

Tankquip (stand ML4)will be concentrating on the powder tank market. After receiving its largest order to date for OMEPS powder tanks, Tankquip is showing one of these in the tanker section on the Majestic lawns. It’s specially built for getting around London. It has a shorter wheelbase, two lift-up axles and meets Fors and Clocs requirements.

Ecovrac (stands ML33/ML33b) is the French manufacturer of non-tipping tanks for the delivery of animal feed in bulk. With each tank being made to measure, it’s possible to choose not only the exact number of compartments (from six to nine for the semi-trailer and from four to eight for the rigid vehicle) but also the type of delivery equipment (auger and/or blower) as well as other options.

Road tanker valve manufacturer Fort Vale (stand MLT6) is introducing its Reedley Hot Product Valve at Tank-ex 2018. Specifically designed to meet the demands of discharge for heavy oils, such as bitumen, this valve is certified to EN 14433 and is designed to withstand a maximum working temperature of 250C at 3.5 bar pressure. Tested over 2,000 cycles, the valve offers complete assurance of performance in arduous applications in temperature-critical environments.

Also on show at Tank-ex will be the full range of Fort Vale’s equipment for road tanker applications, from general purpose chemicals to food duty. And don’t forget RTN Clayton Vallely will be on stand OG1 while TCL Tanker Rental will be on stand ML34a.

With new regulations effective from the end of the year limiting weight of volumetric trucks, Armcon says there is now a window of opportunity to purchase machines at Tip-ex and Tank-ex 2018 that can be registered and fully legal to carry up to 44 tonnes for the next 10 years (Operators who miss this window will be limited to 32 tonnes).  Armcon can be found on stand B10.

Furthermore, Drain-Ex will take place at the Harrogate Convention Centre at the same time as Tip-ex and Tank-ex. The show, which is aimed at a drainage and water industry, is free to attend and Tip-ex and Tank-ex attendees will be able to enter without having to re-register.
