Aquila Truck Services in Tipton has supplied two Isuzu Forward 11 tonners to family-run TCR Food Service.

The two F110.210 rigids are fitted with Jacksons Coachworks refrigerated bodies, including one with a refrigerated box body at the front for chilled and frozen produce, and a curtain-sided body at the rear for ambient goods.

TCR Food Service is looking to run the two new vehicles for at least seven years, after which the refrigerated bodies will enter their second life on new replacement chassis. The firm, which runs a total of 12 Isuzus, supplies fish fryers and take-away businesses across the West Midlands with fish, chicken, sausages, cleaning products and oils/fats.

Brian Matthews, MD, TCR Food Service said: “Our experience with running Isuzus for the last 10 years is that they are exactly what our industry needs, as they give us the payload that we are looking for, as well as giving us the reliability we need for our distribution operations.

“We deliver to between 20 and 30 shops per day per truck with these vehicles and these deliveries are generally in narrow urban areas with restricted or limited access.”
