TDG has combined its contract logistics operations in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands under one division.

Mike Branigan, current MD of the Irish and Dutch operations, will also take over the reigns in the UK from current MD John Winston, who leaves at the end of May.

TDG's strategy and marketing director David Hindson says the move was in response to the "globalisation" of the logistics industry.

TDG's chemicals operation will not become part of the new division as it already has an international platform. "You don't change things unneces-sarily," Hindson says.
