London transport managers can now benchmark their performance against fellow operators under a Transport for London (TFL) freight benchmarking scheme.
The online programme, unveiled by TfL's Freight Operator Recognition Scheme, enables FORS members to anonymously and instantly compare factors such as CO2 emissions, fuel use and fines with other London freight operators.
It was designed by Faber Maunsell, the consultancy behind the national benchmarking scheme for the Department for Transport's Freight Best Practice programme.
Since going live in December 2008, the programme has been trialled by 21 operators and TfL urges more FORS members to get involved. For more information, go to the FORS website.
