Truck crane supplier TH White has acquired Falkirk based Outreach Truck, the Palfinger distributor for Scotland.
The combined business will trade as Palfinger UK and provide sales, servicing and parts for lorry cranes from its sites in Devizes, Bradford and Falkirk, together with its partner, Luton-based Transloader Services. TH White Group was appointed Palfinger’s official distributor for England and Wales in the 1990s.
Outreach was established in 1976, supplying and maintaining Palfinger and Epsilon machinery in Scotland, as well as lifting and access equipment. It has also worked closely with many Scottish local authorities to develop expertise in bespoke bodybuilding.
Mark Rigby, director of TH White’s lorry cranes business (pictured) said: “As regards the Palfinger Epsilon range, TH White has traditionally focused on construction and recycling cranes, while Outreach has a strong business base in forestry cranes.
“That’s a great example of how this coming together will broaden the portfolio of the whole operation.”
Gary Potts, outgoing MD of Outreach Truck, said: “We are delighted to be passing our well-established and respected company to TH White, in the full knowledge that our staff and customers will be well looked after in the future.
“A smooth integration for both Outreach team members and customers is our key priority, made simpler because of the strong partnership we have had as companies for many years.”
