Thermoking and Frigoblock recognised for low-noise equipment

Thermo King and Frigoblock have been recognised by the Noise Abatement Society for their advances in low-noise equipment around urban deliveries.

Thermo King and Frigoblock were awarded for their efforts to eliminate engine noise from trailer refrigeration units with their SLXi Hybrid technology. It uses geofencing to transition the unit’s operation from diesel engine to electric mode when it enters pre-defined urban or noise sensitive areas.

The John Connell awards ceremony at the Palace of Westminster recognises local authorities, organisations and individuals for having a significant impact on improvements to the aural environment.
