Thomas Hardie introduces used truck demonstrator

Thomas Hardie Used Trucks is offering operators in north Wales and the North West what it believes is the only used truck demonstrator available in the UK.

The 63-plate FH tractor unit will be used by salesman Ronnie Kelsall to woo operators in the area that do not currently deal with the Middlewich, Cheshire-based Volvo dealer. It is fitted with the Volvo Dynafleet telematics system that allows the dealer to monitor driving styles and the truck’s performance while being trialled.

The truck, which goes on the road this month, is available for one- or two-week periods. Jonathan Bownes, used vehicle sales business development manager at Thomas Hardie Used Trucks, said: “I think this is the only dedicated used truck demo available in the UK.

"Since January, just after we recruited him, Ronnie has made great progress with a number of good deals under his belt and a healthy customer base that he is steadily expanding. Part of our ongoing investment in the process is this used truck demonstrator for Ronnie to use to help convince potential customers to buy Volvos from Thomas Hardie.”
