Thompsons Group has bought the Scottish branch of Weightlifter Group, Weightlifter Scotland, in what it described as a "notably uncomplicated" deal.
The tipper body manufacturer took ownership of the company on Friday 7 July, and will use Weightlifter Scotland's Royal Elizabeth Yard in Dalemy as the base for all of its Scottish operations.
Weightlifter Scotland is to become Thompsons Scotland, and all employees and assets have been transferred to the new owner.
Simon Shiels, director at Thompsons, said: “Weightlifter Scotland has built up an enviable track record at the forefront of the Scottish tipper bodybuilding industry.
"We have always held a particular respect for the whole Weightlifter Company which, in consequence, has made this deal notably uncomplicated and straightforward.”
Weightlifter Bodies MD Paul Weightman said: “Over the years our Scottish subsidiary has built up a particularly strong position in its marketplace and one that can continue to grow.
"This deal is about putting our people first and giving them the maximum opportunity for the future.
"Additionally, we are now in a stronger position to develop further our operations in Scunthorpe and Wisbech.”
