Beverley-based David Hodges has added an FH 460 to its nine-strong mixed Volvo and Renault tipper fleet.

It features a Weightlifter insulated alloy body and Harsh K110 underfloor tipping gear. Harsh, which the operator has a long-established relationship with, also supplied the Union Jack side-to-side hydraulic sheeting system.

The truck, which has a 19-tonne payload, will be used for a variety of tasks, including road resurfacing, and moving sand and aggregates.

Commenting on the new arrival, company owner David Hodges, said: “We want our trucks to present a totally positive and professional image, whilst also being attractive to drivers and the public at large. Having really top-notch vehicles also secures maximum residual values when they are eventually sold on.

“Whatever the spec of truck, it’s equally the level of aftersales service we get that counts when choosing new vehicles. Harsh is local, Weightlifter is just over the Humber Bridge and Volvo is right here in Hull, so the resulting combination meets our needs perfectly.”
