Titan Trailers buys Colledge Trailers

Titan Trailers Industries has snapped up Colledge Trailers in Cleveland, Middlesbrough.

Based on the Bolckow Industrial Estate, Colledge will continue to operate as before under the new ownership but with a focus on Titan's core business of manufacturing and selling aluminium trailers.

Colledge is set to create 16 jobs as a result of the £1.6m investment, which was supported by a £200,000 grant from Let's Grow, part of a regional growth fund supporting businesses in the North East.

Titan, which exports from Canada to the USA, the UK and Australia, said of the deal: "Titan Trailers is pleased to now be operating in Grangetown. For the past several years, Titan has contacted work locally and has found the business climate to be friendly and conductive and the workforce to be skilled and knowledgeable.

"These were strong considerations in Titan making its investment in the former Colledge Trailers operations. Titan would also like to extend our appreciation to the Redcar & Cleveland Council and the Let's Grow Regional Growth Fund for their assistance and support."
