Tradeteam wins logistics contract with AB Inbev UK

TradeTeam has been appointed AB InBev UK's primary logistics partner until at least 2013.

As RoadTransport.com revealed in March, TradeTeam was named as the primary distributor for the drinks manufacturer. The Stella Artois brewer says the deal is for three years and will operate from its breweries at Magor, south Wales and Samlesbury, Lancs.

Approximately 60 AB InBev UK employees will transfer to TradeTeam under TUPE, while a number of new positions have been created at TradeTeam's Burton-On-Trent, Derbyshire DC. Existing hauliers, including Gloucester's CM Downton, which worked for AB InBev, will now work with TradeTeam.

TradeTeam account director Simon Gallimore says: "Our experience of AB InBev UK's secondary distribution puts us in a strong position to ensure our service excellence extends to the successful delivery of its products to the off-trade."
