Driver agency Transline has won a contract to recruit drivers for Wincanton's Sainsbury's operation in Middlesex.

The Halifax-based driver recruitment firm will find and manage all the recruits from a new on-site office at the Feltham site, as well as second-tier drivers from rival agencies.

Transline will provide approximately 40 drivers per day when the agreement is at its peak.

The company, which has largely covered the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland since it began in 1989, recently signed its first contract in the South-East to provide drivers for Wincanton's Comet site in Harlow, Essex.

Stacy Goodenough, Transline manager at Wincanton's Sainsbury's site in Feltham, says: "It's been hectic so far, but I didn't expect anything less from a new operation."

Transline also provides external training for drivers and warehouse staff of its client companies.

It plans to provide NVQ and CPC training to 1,000 temporary workers over the next 12 months.
