Travis Perkins is able to automatically direct deliveries to its branches following the implementation of Paragon's route planning system.

The Paragon software allows customer delivery routes to be planned without requiring any manual input from branch staff. Order information is added to the in-house system which then creates a delivery plan for the day.

Richard Horton, transport manager for Travis Perkins, says: "It’s not an easy process to manually plan deliveries. As the software generates the delivery plan automatically, we can focus our attention more on developing our customer service."

The move is intended to optimise Travis Perkins' cost and efficiency, while increasing the productivity of its 1,800-strong fleet.
