Nottingham-based TRMI, which formerly traded as IMR Transport for nearly 20 years, has gone into liquidation, owing creditors over £400,000.

The company, which held O-licences to run up to 47 vehicles and 60 trailers out of two sites in Nottingham and Hartlepool, went into liquidation on 12 August when creditors appointed liquidator Dean Nelson of Smith Cooper.

The statement of company’s affairs published to Company’s House showed that TRMI, which changed its name from IMR Transport in July, owes creditors a total of £486,975. Significant creditors include UK Card Services, which is owed £37,340; Shell UK, which is owed £37,651; and Owen Fuels, which is owed £12,044.

TRMI also owes £290,136 in tax, national insurance claims and VAT to HMRC.

The firm began trading in 1994 with just one truck and one trailer and grew to operate 20,000 ft² of on-site warehousing from its Balloon Wood Industrial Estate site in Nottingham.

Directors Gavin Burgess and Maximilian Kirk could not be reached for comment.
