A Scottish truck driver has been jailed and ordered to pay almost £40,000 after being caught with cocaine worth £7m in his cab.
At the High Court in Edinburgh, Cameron McFarlane of Alloa, Clackmannanshire was ordered to pay back £39,799 in crime profits by December. He was also sentenced to five years and four months in prison.
McFarlane was arrested by Central Scotland Police on the M90 in October 2008. A search of his cab revealed 15kg of cocaine with a purity of 72% hidden in pillows and a microwave. He said he was transporting the drugs because he owed money to a criminal gang.
