Scania dealer TruckEast is redeveloping its Crick branch with upgraded offices as well as parts and servicing facilities. The dealer purchased a neighbouring property in 2017 but has committed to investing £2.5m in the development of its current site, which is just off J18 of the M1.

In accordance with Scania’s global dealership principles, TruckEast will upgrade its parts and servicing business with the addition of five new bays, bringing the total to nine. New dedicated customer areas will also be introduced along with a larger tool and parts storage. Offices improvements will include new staff welfare facilities and meeting rooms. The expansion was thought to be a vital next step for the business as local development continues along the nearby A5.

MD John Biggin said: “This is a big investment and will enable us to continue to deliver excellent service levels to our customers while supporting the growth in the region. It brings an exciting future for everyone involved – both staff and customers alike.”

TruckEast is also considering including an ATF lane at the site, which is being explored with the DVSA.
