Scania dealer TruckEast has provided details behind its February purchase of Northampton trailer maintenance specialists ST Fleet Services – which has been re-named ST Fleet.
The 30-year-old, family-run business, adds an eight-bay workshop and fleet of six mobile service vans to TruckEast’s offerings. ST Fleet Services also provides trailer and truck inspections and repairs; MoT preparation; brake roller testing and an on-site vehicle wash.
Matt Thomas, son of previous owner Steve Thomas, has continued to run the day-to-day operation as general manager.

“Former customers and employees of ST Fleet Services can rest assured of a seamless transfer of ownership that will leave them in the safest of hands.”
The sale, for an undisclosed sum, adds to TruckEast’s existing specialist services portfolio. Since 2004, when TruckEast first launched its specialist service division, it has continued to expand and now has 14 commercial workshops. It also offers tail-lift repairs, trailer, tanker and municipal services and a dedicated recovery fleet.
